Lac Noir de Tourville is a birding site recognized by Ducks Unlimited. Over 75 species of birds can be observed here, including the Black Duck, Blue-winged Teal, American Bittern and Great Blue Heron. The banks of this shallow, 45-hectare lake are colonized by aquatic vegetation, providing a habitat for birds, amphibians and insects. Lac Noir boasts a wooden footbridge and a lookout point for observing winged fauna. * ATTENTION the footbridge is currently inaccessible.
Access is free, dogs are allowed on a leash and the site is equipped for people with reduced mobility. There are picnic tables and a boat launch where you can venture out on the lake in a canoe or kayak. Fishing is also available if you have a license.
